AZEC 2019 Overview
The Zoological Park Organization (ZPO) Thailand is proud to be a member of the International Zoo Educators Association (IZE) and it is a great honor for us to host the 7th Asian Zoo Educators Conference: AZEC 2019, Thailand for the first time since we become a member of IZE in 2016. The objectives of this the conference is to provide a platform where professional zoo aquarium educators worldwide could every two-year to share ideas and discuss topics of common interest. Moreover, to build a collaborative network to develop an education process related to environmental education and conservation in zoos, aquariums another organization. The conference was held at KHUM KHAM International Convention Center, Chiangmai, Thailand from 25-28November 2019 with 158 participants from Canada, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, and the USA. The theme was: “เพลิน (P-L-E-A-R-N) Play and Learn with Education in Asia through Research for Nature”. The word PLEARN in Thai means having fun. More activities are contained hereby such as keynote speaker, oral presentation, poster presentation, workshops on environmental education activities and field trip.
